Anthony represented a young defendant, who was alleged to have been in possession of indecent images. The defendant suffered from a number of serious mental health issues, including autism. The defence instructed a several experts to look at fitness to plead and stand trial, disposals under the Mental Health Act 1983 and computer expert to analyse whether it could proved that the defendant in fact accessed the relevant images. Following robust written representations, the Crown offered no evidence on all counts.
