The trial is expected to last 2-3 weeks. The case involves an alleged conspiracy to possess firearms and two separate firearms discharges with intent to endanger life in the greater Manchester area.
Operation Absolute is an investigation involving the NCA and the Dutch authorities. The crown alleges a conspiracy to target certain properties and individuals with the intent to endanger life.
The firearms were discharged on two separate occasions, firstly at Swan Taxis, Eccles and then at an address in the Whitefield area of Bury.
The prosecution seeks to rely upon “encro chat” messages, cell site evidence and call data from non-encrypted mobile telephones, together with various forensic links to the shootings.
