Alphege Bell has been instructed to defend the lead/first defendant in a very large multi-handed case where 2 tonnes of cocaine is alleged to have been moved around the UK in a period of less than 6 months. The defendant is alleged to have been the head of a well organised national hierarchical criminal network with strategic reach across the entire UK. The case is being prosecuted by a task force of the specialist crime unit. The cocaine is alleged to be very pure and has a conservative wholesale value of over £72 million pounds.
