12/04/2022

Ben’s client was charged with one count of Attempted Murder having entered the victim’s home address, stabbing them several times in the back with a kitchen knife.

Having made extensive representations to the Crown, relying on detailed psychiatric evidence, a plea to a lesser charge of causing grievous bodily harm with intent was eventually accepted. Following comprehensive mitigation, the Defendant was sentenced to 6 years’ imprisonment, with an extended licence period of 3 years.

Ben was instructed by Robin Piggott of PPG Criminal Law.
