Zayd Ahmed successfully represented defendant who appeared on 24 hours in police custody episode “breakout” .

Zayd represented Mr Bodini, who appeared in the recent episode “Breakout” of the Channel 4 TV show 24 Hours in Police Custody.

Operation Springhill pertained to the escape from Yarl’s Wood Immigration Removal Centre, where it was alleged that a group of men staged a riot and used sporting equipment to breach the internal and external perimeters, facilitating their escape.

Mr Bodini was charged with escape from lawful custody and violent disorder.

He pleaded guilty to the charge of escape but not guilty to violent disorder.

Zayd represented Mr Bodini throughout the proceedings, including the trial at Luton Crown Court. After a three-week trial, the jury acquitted Mr Bodini of violent disorder.
