Zayd Ahmed has successfully secured the acquittal of a prison officer who was charged with sexual assault against a colleague while on duty at HMP Rochester.
The defendant, a long-serving officer at HMP Rochester, was accused of sexual assault in the workplace. The prosecution argued that the incident took place during working hours within the prison facility, leading to an abuse of trust.
The case was based on several eyewitnesses, CCTV and forensic evidence.
Zayd was able to demonstrate various inconsistencies in the account given by the complainant and challenge the prosecution forensic evidence.
The case, which garnered attention at the prison, concluded with a not-guilty verdict.
