The defendant was party to a conspiracy to import some 2976 Kg of cocaine, with a street value of £200 million. On the 14th February 2021, UK Border Force at Portsmouth searched a consignment of 41 pallets of bananas which had been imported from Columbia. The pallets had been transported on the vessel the MV Comoros Stream, which departed from the Port of Turbo, Columbia on 27/01/2021 and arrived in Portsmouth on the 13/02/2021.
Gjerjii Diko pleaded guilty to his part in the conspiracy on the 20th August 2021.
