Following legal argument at Snaresbrook Crown Court, Fiona Clegg was successful in an application to dismiss counts of Being Concerned in the Supply of Class A drugs.
Fiona’s client was observed by police to have fled an address suspected to be linked to the supply of Class A drugs. A warrant was executed at the address, wherein various quantities of crack cocaine, heroin and packaging equipment were said to be found.
After careful consideration of the phone evidence and CCTV logs, Fiona was able to argue that there was insufficient evidence that her client was concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
The case being formally dismissed means Fiona’s client retains their good character and no longer has to await a jury trial with other co-defendants in 2026.
Fiona was instructed and assisted by Cally Gormally and Caitlin Albert of Shearman Bowen.
