Anjelica Smerin’s client was charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis relating to a stop and search in September 2024 when police recovered 18 snap bags of cannabis. In the interim, the client had accepted possession with intent to supply 3kg of cannabis, for which he received a suspended sentence order. The Crown was persuaded to accept a plea to simple possession, and the matter was dealt with by a fine.
