Shekyena Marcelle-Brown Secures Drugs Supply Acquittal

16/07/2026

Following a trial at Wood Green Crown Court, Shekyena’s client was acquitted of supplying class B drugs.

The client was in possession of a quantity of individually wrapped cannabis and two phones, including an unlocked burner phone containing drugs supply messages.

Shekyena successfully opposed a bad character application to adduce the client’s previous conviction for supplying drugs.

Through thorough cross-examination of a drugs expert and the officer in the case, Shekyena established key factual concessions and drew attention to failings of the police investigation. The jury were unable to reach a verdict, which led to the prosecution offering no evidence and a not guilty verdict being entered at the Judge’s direction.

Shekyena was instructed by Ziba Akarcay of GSG Law.
