Shekyena Marcelle-Brown secures acquittal following application to dismiss that results in the CPS offering no evidence of its own volition.

05/07/2024

Shekyena represented a client accused of harbouring an escaped prisoner, who went on to commit numerous domestic burglaries whilst at large. The Crown relied on evidence of police intelligence that traced the escaped prisoner to the client’s home, where stolen goods were found.

Following the service of an application to dismiss, the prosecution, of its own volition, offered no evidence against the client.

Shekyena was instructed by Paul Robinson of Goldkorns Solicitors.
