Sebastian Winnett secures acquittal for Defendant charged with knifepoint rape and detention of sex worker.

The Defendant faced an allegation of raping a vulnerable sex worker at knifepoint in the course of a robbery. The Defendant disputed the production of a knife but had admitted robbery and possession of a bladed article at an earlier stage.  

The Defendant had been arrested after his photograph was distributed on social media and was stopped by police as he approached a premises where he had arranged to meet a second sex worker. The Defendant was armed with a knife and had no cash on his person.
