Alejandra’s cases include murder and attempted murder, rape and attempted rape, historic sexual offences, kidnap, serious violence, firearms, gang related tit-for-tat shootings and stabbings and county-lines drugs cases involving EncroChat devices.
She is also instructed in complex financial crime, dishonesty offences and POCA.

R v Q [2024 [ Woolwich Crown Court]
Alejandra, led by James Martin, represented the defendant who was charged with conspiracy to kidnap and false imprisonment. The defendant was one of eight others charged on this conspiracy. The case involved complex issues in relation to hearsay and absent witnesses. The defendant was acquitted of all charges after the Crown offered no evidence on day seven of trial.
R v CK [2023] [Central Criminal Court]
Alejandra, led by Liam Walker KC of Doughty Street Chambers in representing CK, a well-known rapper on the Urban music scene. CK is charged with perverting the course of justice and possession of ammunition without a firearm certificate following a gang related tit-for-tat shooting on the Harrow Road in 2019.The five-month trial took place in 2022, following which the jury were unable to reach verdicts for CK.

R v BL [2023] [Wood Green Crown Court]
Alejandra was instructed as the Leading Junior to represent BL, who was charged with Conspiracy to Supply Class A drugs. The case related to a large-scale conspiracy to supply drugs across the UK, involving voluminous telephone downloads, covert observations and police intelligence records. The trial was halted during the Crown’s case and the jury was discharged.
R v BAC [2023] [Woolwich Crown Court]
Alejandra, acting on behalf of the CPS, prosecuted the case against BAC, who was charged with seven counts of rape, assault by penetration and sexual assault. The Crown’s case was that BAC took advantage of the complainant’s drunken state following a night out for her birthday, raped her in a car park and outside a leisure centre while she was unconscious due to intoxication and then took her to her house. When the complainant woke up the following morning, the defendant failed to tell her that they had engaged in sexual acts the night before and instead told her that her clothes were muddy because she had fallen on the floor on the way home. The multiple rapes are captured on CCTV.
R v NH [2022] [Central Criminal Court]
Alejandra, led by Liam Walker KC, represented the Defendant, a youth, who was charged with joint enterprise murder following a stabbing on a busy London High Street. The case involved complex arguments on the admissibility of gang membership evidence and the law on joint enterprise. Following legal arguments and the robust cross-examination of police officers, the Defendant was found Not Guilty.
Anjorin v R [2022] EWCA Crim 1931
Alejandra represented the Appellant at the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division) on an appeal against the imposition of a 28-month sentence of immediate imprisonment at Norwich Crown Court, following guilty pleas to two counts of Conspiracy to Supply Class A drugs. She successfully argued that the sentencing judge had failed to apply any discount to the Appellant’s sentence for personal circumstances and personal mitigation. Following successful appeal, the sentence was reduced to 24 months imprisonment, suspended for two years.
R v M [2022] [Bournemouth Crown Court]
Alejandra represented the Defendant as Junior alone, charged with attempting to murder his mother. The Defendant was highly vulnerable suffering from serious mental health issues.
R v MMJ [2021[ [Woolwich Crown Court]
Alejandra represented the Defendant, a youth, charged with attempted murder following a stabbing in a busy southeast London shopping centre in the middle of the day. The victim suffered 41 stab wounds and a collapsed lung. It was alleged that the attack was gang related.
MB v R [2021] [Court of Appeal]
Alejandra, led by Sarah Jones KC and instructed by Advocate, represented the Appellant on an appeal against conviction at the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division) following his conviction for 12 counts of rape and sexual assault against his step-children. It was successfully argued that the trial judge had erroneously applied the section 41 YJCEA 1999 provisions and therefore deprived the jury from key evidence in support of the Appellant’s case. Following successful appeal on conviction, a re-trial was ordered, and the appellant was acquitted by a jury of all counts.
Alejandra is regularly instructed in environmental cases, dealing with SSSI status and dumping issues. Furthermore, Alejandra has experience in dealing with advertising standards authority cases and criminal prosecutions involving teachers and other medical professionals.
Alejandra has previously been instructed by the Metropolitan Police Service’s Directorate of Legal Services as junior counsel in the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse. Alejandra’s work involved reviewing documents for relevance, redacting sensitive material, and determining the disclosure status of voluminous bundles of material.
Most recently, Alejandra was instructed by UK Health Security Agency as junior counsel in the COVID-19 Inquiry. During her time acting for UKHSA, Alejandra took instructions from witnesses, drafted Rule 9 statements for the inquiry, assisted in the preparation of exhibit bundles to accompany witness statements.
