Three defendants engaged in a conspiracy to interfere with the deliberations of the jury in a large-scale drugs exportation trial at Kingston Crown Court. False reports were made to the authorities that members of the jury had been approached with bribes whilst their deliberations were ongoing. Some months after the jury returned their verdicts, the defendants created a false narrative that jurors had been pressured by the investigative authorities to return guilty verdicts. It included impersonating a jurors partner and providing false witness statements.
