All at Mountford Chambers pass on our best wishes to Nigel Lambert KC who has made the decision to retire from the Bar.
On Friday 24th October, we gathered to celebrate Nigel’s retirement, a wonderful occasion recognising his outstanding contribution to the Bar and the generations he has guided and inspired.
An extraordinary advocate and mentor, Nigel has consistently exemplified the highest standards of advocacy: intellectual rigour, calm authority, and a deep sense of fairness. Called in 1974 and appointed King’s Counsel in 1999, his practice has encompassed the most serious and complex criminal cases, and his record of service, as advocate, mentor, and former Head of Chambers has left an enduring mark on all who have had the privilege of working alongside him.
As he steps into retirement, Nigel will be remembered not only for his formidable courtroom skill, but for the generosity, integrity, and quiet confidence with which he led and inspired others.
We wish Nigel every happiness and fulfilment in this new chapter, one filled with the same curiosity, purpose and good humour that have always defined him.
