The image features a graphic with a dark blue background and text overlay. On the left side, there is a large, bold white font that reads “Legal 500” followed by “2025 Rankings” beneath it in a smaller size. To the right, there is an emblem with the text “LEADING SET” and below it “Legal500 UNITED KINGDOM 2025.” In the bottom left corner, there’s a monogram ‘M’ inside a square border. The background appears to be a photo of a dark brick wall with a blue door, suggesting an association with legal authority or establishment.

Mountford Chambers Sees Largest Number of Barristers Featured in Legal 500 Directory to Date

02/10/2024

Mountford Chambers are delighted to share our rankings for the 2025 edition of the Legal 500 UK Bar Guide. Three of our barristers, Edward Henry KC, William England, and Alphege Bell, have moved up a banding for the crime rankings in London. While four of our barristers, Ben Hargreaves, Houzla Rawat, Sophie Evans, and Fiona Clegg, are all new entrants in the same area.

These rankings demonstrate our increasing depth of expertise in the area, with the directory adding, “Mountford Chambers is ‘going from strength to strength’ when it comes to its criminal law offering and is now recognised as ‘a go-to set for all criminal cases.”.

In addition to our successes within crime, we’re excited to share that Edward Henry KC, Richard Furlong, and Joe Hingston have all been newly ranked in London Bar, Fraud: Crime.

A total of 32 of our barristers have been included in the 2025 rankings, the largest achieved for chambers. These results are a testament to their outstanding work and dedication.

We’re also thrilled to see deserved recognition for our clerking and support team from the directory who provided glowing testimonials, including:

  • Ben Heaviside is a very effective senior clerk, sensibly flexible on fees, and he runs a tight ship.”
  • “The clerks are extremely helpful and will make running a case so much easier. Ben Heaviside, Nathan Warren, Dean Allen, and Jordan Wescott are particularly good.”
  • “Jordan Wescott is one of the best clerks on the legal circuit. He provides essential administrative support, and his role is integral to the success not only for chambers but for the law firms it works with.”
  • “The clerks are fabulous and can’t do enough to help. Nathan Warren, Dean Allen, and Ben Heaviside are always on the ball.”
