Martyn Hynes has secured the full acquittal of a defendant facing three counts of sexual assault following a six-day trial at Chelmsford Crown Court.
The case involved complex legal arguments advanced by Mr Hynes on behalf of the defence to ensure the admission of critical evidence necessary for a fair trial. The court was persuaded that the material in question was essential to the proper testing of the allegations.
Throughout the proceedings, all parties were sensitively and rigorously cross-examined, with particular care taken to balance the rights of the complainants with the defendant’s right to a fair trial.
The jury returned not guilty verdicts on all counts, bringing the matter to a close and vindicating the defence position.
Mr Hynes is frequently instructed in serious and sensitive criminal cases and is known for his strategic approach to trial advocacy and evidential fairness.
Martyn was instructed by Holly Lambert of Carson Kaye Solicitors.
