Luna Spada secured the acquittal of her client at Maidstone Crown Court, who had been charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.
The case involved complex cell site and co-location evidence. Shortly before the trial commenced, exculpatory material was disclosed without any explanation for the delay. Disclosure issues continued throughout proceedings. On the fourth day of trial, Luna applied to stay the proceedings for abuse of process.
Following her application and careful consideration, the prosecution offered no evidence on either count. Not guilty verdicts were returned.
Luna was instructed by Clint Ambrose and Shyanne Sarah Ennis of Cambrose Solicitors.
