Georgia-Mae’s Client Receives Suspended Sentence for Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Supply after Conviction by Jury

02/07/2025

Georgia-Mae’s client was charged with possession of a controlled class A drug with intent to supply it to another. This concerned a large carrier bag of cocaine, and he had been convicted following a trial.

The judge was persuaded to deal with the matter by way of a suspended sentence after agreeing with Georgia-Mae’s submissions that her client had had a lesser rather than significant role.

Georgia-Mae had also advanced extensive mitigation and argued that this merited placement of the offence at the bottom of the category range.

Georgia-Mae was instructed by Jack Ward of Tank Jowett Solicitors.
