During a three-day trial at Canterbury Crown Court, Georgia-Mae’s client faced charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and criminal damage.
It was alleged that the client had attacked his ex-partner and her friend with a golfclub and broken the latter’s phone. It was also said that, later that day, he had travelled to the friend’s property and smashed her window.
The issue for the alleged assault was self-defence and the client denied having damaged the phone or window himself. He had communication difficulties requiring adjustments to the trial process.
Georgia-Mae was instructed and assisted by Dan Coomber of Goldkorns Solicitors.
