Georgia-Mae Chung secures acquittal in domestic actual bodily harm trial

Georgia-Mae Chung represented a man of good character who had been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm against an ex-partner.

Self-defence was advanced, necessitating cross-examination of three vulnerable prosecution witnesses.

The trial lasted for three days at Lewes Crown Court sitting at Brighton Magistrates’ Court. The jury returned a unanimous not guilty verdict in an hour.

Georgia-Mae was instructed by Tasha Dovey of Bishop and Light Solicitors.
