Rekan Karwan is charged with the two murders alongside seven other defendants including TikTok star Mahek Bukhari and her mother Ansreen Bukhari.
Cousins Saqib Hussain and Mohammed Hasim Ijazuddin passed away on 11th February 2022, when the car in which they were travelling hit the central reservation on the A46 in Leicester. It is the Prosecution case that the car had been deliberately rammed off the road by one of two cars driven by the defendants, following a high-speed pursuit.
