Charles Hannaford represented Mr LP, who was convicted, following a trial, of sexually assaulting an employed member of Council staff, where he was an elected member, during a social event at a London bar.
Mr LP was a man of previous good character, a Councillor for a number of years and a father to four children, one of whom has significant caring needs.
On 23rd October 2025 Mr LP received a 12-month order, 250 hours of unpaid work and 10 RAR days.
