Colin Aylott KC acted for a 20-year-old accused of murder and robbery. He was alleged to be part of a group of five who attempted to rob a drug dealer of his stash of cocaine. After a five-week trial at the Old Bailey his client was acquitted of murder but convicted of the lesser offence of manslaughter and robbery. He was sentenced to 9 years imprisonment. A co-defendant was convicted of murder and sentenced to life with a minimum term of 28 years and the third defendant was convicted of robbery and sentenced to 4 years imprisonment.
