Following a 4 day trial at Isleworth Crown Court, Chloe Lennon‘s client was acquitted of threatening to kill his housemate while gesturing towards him with a knife.
The jury heard that Chloe’s client lived with the complainant in a multi-occupency household. It was accepted that the defendant and complainant were unhappy housemates.
The jury heard that the defendant had pleaded guilty to threatening the same complainant with a knife in the six months prior to the allegation. The complainant alleged that the defendant had again threatened him with a knife while threatening to kill him.
At trial, it was put to the complainant that the account had been fabricated in an attempt to get the defendant evicted from the shared household.
The defendant was unanimously acquitted of threats to kill and threatening another with a bladed article in a private place within 2 hours of deliberation. Chloe was instructed and assisted by Ouiza Silem of IBB Law.
