Chambers Welcomes Richard Littler KC and Mark Rhind KC

Mountford Chambers are delighted to welcome Richard Littler KC and Mark Rhind KC to Chambers. 

Richard Littler KC is a leading criminal silk who is regularly instructed in some of the country’s most significant and high-profile cases. His practice spans homicide, fraud, fraudulent trading, tax avoidance, money laundering, serious violence and drugs conspiracies. His financial crime work includes complex, high-value matters involving MTIC fraud, as well as cases brought by the SFO and HMRC. Recent notable instructions include the widely publicised murder of Brianna Grey and the James Stunt/NatWest money laundering trial.

Mark Rhind KC is a highly experienced advocate who prosecutes and defends in the areas of serious crime, with an emphasis and specialism in high value MTIC and Tax frauds. He is regularly instructed in prosecutions brought by the SFO, FCA and HMRC. Legal 500 notes that “Mark has great presence in Court. Alongside his criminal practice, Mark also appears in inquests for IP’s including the families of the deceased, carers or healthcare professionals. He has a particular interest in healthcare work and represents those before their regulator for professional standards tribunals work, including those who appear before the GMC and GDC. 

Mark is further recognised for his expertise in environmental regulation. He advises and represents company owners and directors facing prosecution by the Environment Agency, including matters involving waste management, farms , breach of licenses, exemptions, ELVs, end of waste, restitution, applications and appeals for licenses including under the recent Scrap Metal Dealers Act. He also has extensive experience in the financial aspects of Environmental Agency prosecutions and subsequent POCA proceedings.
