Bozzie‘s client was a chartered physiotherapist working in the physiotherapy department of a hospital. He was charged with multiple sexual assaults against two of his patients. The two complainants were unknown to each other, but made allegations that were strikingly similar and within the same time period. One of the complainants was said to be vulnerable.
The charges followed the complaints being made against him and his dismissal from his role.
After a two-week trial the defendant was acquitted of all counts.
The case necessitated a sensitive approach to the complainants’ evidence and detailed cross examination of an expert physiotherapist.
Bozzie was instructed and assisted by Denise Medlock of Sussex Defence Solicitors.
