Following an eight-day trial at Basildon Crown Court, Ben Brown’s client was unanimously acquitted of a professionally planned commercial robbery of a Vodafone store. Another co-Defendant was convicted.
The Defendant was accused of being one of four individuals who had entered a Vodafone store in Brentwood wearing balaclavas and masks wielding machetes. The robbers stole items worth more than £40,000.
Despite running from the police and a vehicle which contained the stolen items, machetes, and balaclavas matching the description of those worn by the robbers, through forensic analysis of the CCTV footage and mobile phone usage, Ben argued that his client had no knowledge of the robbery.
Ben was instructed by Mike Warren of THB Solicitors.
