Attempted Murder Sentence

19/02/2026

Alexandra Scott and Anjelica Smerin represented a defendant who had been convicted of attempted murder in relation to ‘tit for tat’ gang violence which culminated in a drive-by shooting on the A41.

The victim was shot in the heart, and underwent extensive surgery to remove the bullet. The Judge was persuaded to impose a determinate sentence rather than an extended sentence.

Alexandra and Anjelica were instructed by Aseem Taj at Bark & Co.
