Mountford Chambers is delighted to announce the arrival of Abigail Penny

29/11/2024

Called to the Bar in 1999, Abigail is a specialist in defending clients in some of the most complex and serious criminal cases, including those involving murder, armed robbery, kidnap, large-scale drug conspiracies, and organised crime. Over the past four years, she has been instructed in numerous EncroChat-based prosecutions, representing individuals accused of operating at the highest levels of criminal activity.

Renowned for her meticulous preparation and advocacy, Abigail is regularly instructed as a leading junior in large legal teams, tackling cases that require exceptional skill and attention to detail. Her expertise extends to handling intricate disclosure issues and appellate work, including successful challenges to convictions and sentences in high-profile cases.

Abigail’s breadth of experience perfectly complements Mountford Chambers’ commitment to delivering excellence in criminal, regulatory, and public law, and we are thrilled to welcome her to chambers.
