Anthony James successful in rape trial

Anthony represented a man of good character who was charged with rape and attempted rape, aided by the second defendant who also faced charges of non-fatal strangulation and sexual assault.

Anthony advanced the defence of consent and that the two complainants had contaminated the evidence of each other. Both defendants were acquitted unanimously of all counts after an eight-day trial at Warwick Crown Court.

Anthony was instructed by Askara Rana of Riaz Law.
