Alphege Bell secures acquittal of a defendant accused of aggravated stalking of a senior prison officer

This was a very difficult case conducted against the backdrop of the full glare of criticisms of the Metropolitan Police Service failing to deal with alleged cases of stalking of female victims. The defendant was accused of aggravated stalking of a senior prison officer. Part of the conduct complained of related to the fitting of a GPS tracking device to the complainant’s private vehicle.
