Alexandra Scott secures acquittal in knife attack trial

06/08/2021

Alexandra’s client was jointly charged with attempted s.18 Grievous Bodily Harm.  It was alleged that he was acting in concert with his co-defendant – who pleaded guilty – in targeting and chasing down two men on Putney High Road, trying to stab the victim through the doorway before he managed to close the door.

The incident was captured on CCTV, showing both men brandishing hunting knives, but Alexandra successfully advanced the defence that her client did not share his co-defendant’s intention to cause really serious harm, and did not encourage him in the actual attack.

Alexandra was instructed by Temi Johnson at LLM Criminal Defence Solicitors and the case took place at Kingston Crown Court.
